MSPs Go Stationery Mad
27/11/2009
Members of the Scottish Parliament claimed 8 percent more on expenses than last year, figures show. And claims for office supplies rose by 31 percent. Much of the increase in expenditure on stationery was due to increased postal charges.
Tory MSP John Lamont claimed more than anyone else on office supplies. His £26,952 spend dwarfed that of party colleague Liz Smith who put in a claim for just £146.
