Global law firm 'promotes green office supplies'

Office supplies
A major international law firm has launched an environmental programme aimed at making small firms recycle and reuse office machines and office supplies.

Chadbourne & Parke - a firm headquartered in New York but with 12 offices worldwide, including in London - has announced its green initiative programme to make businesses and law firms around the world more aware of the need to recycle office supplies and use more energy-efficient office machines.

Among the initiative's key actions is the promotion of two waste bins in all offices - one for paper and office supplies, with the other for all other rubbish. The recycling of all bottles and cans should be urged.

Chadbourne & Parke also suggests only purchasing office supplies which are made of recycled and reused products, while business cards should be replaced with eco-friendly paper. All cleaning products used around the office should not contain any harmful chemicals.

Adam Umanoff, partner at the law firm, said: "We recognise, as a firm and as concerned citizens, our responsibility to help reduce carbon emissions and conserve natural resources.

"Our comprehensive programme gives everybody an opportunity to have an immediate impact. Institutionally and individually, we are going to walk the walk as well as talk the talk."

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
