Th-ink-ing about the environment

Printer supplies
The National Arbor Day Foundation has announced it is teaming up with inkjet cartridge refill franchise Cartridge World to help replant America's national rainforests.

The initiative entitled 'Plant a tree, not a cartridge' will see trees damaged by wildfire and other natural causes replaced.

US inkjet cartridge refill firm Cartridge World will be making donations to the foundation and plans to plant 75,000 trees in national forests.

In fact, the company has already donated 27,500 trees already and it is hoping the scheme will encourage people to refrain from discarding old inkjet cartridges in landfills.

US customers will be offered a 'Plant a Tree Frequent Buyer Card' and when it is filled, the customer will receive a tree gift certificate which informs them that a tree has been planted on their behalf.

John Rosenow, president of The National Arbor Day Foundation, said: "We are grateful for Cartridge World's commitment and support.

"The Plant a Tree, Not a Cartridge programme demonstrates an environmentally friendly initiative that also takes the proactive step of planting trees."

Last year more than 9.6 million acres of land were devastated by forest fire, with millions of trees needing replanting as a result.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of inkjet cartridges.
